About me

My name is Janice Lee and I’m a digital illustrator from Vancouver, Canada. I was raised in Hong Kong, and I moved to Canada when I was in high school. I am a self taught children’s book illustrator! I love to draw whimsical and fantasy illustrations. My drawings largely consist of magical characters, lots of witches, animals, books, and nature environments. I like to use soft lighting as well in my drawings, which creates the enchanted look that I love.

Since an early age, I loved drawing because it allowed me to step into a world of my own and create magic. I’m grateful that I have rediscovered this passion again through digital drawing. Having been a preschool and elementary school teacher over the years, I understand what kind of illustrations attract young readers. I am currently working on my first picture book with a published author, which I hope to share more of it soon! I hope my illustrations can let you experience the joy that I feel.
